How to create a Generic Link?
A generic link is an efficient way to onboard many customers without manually creating each individual case. It is ideal for website links, newsletters, or use at events.
What is a Generic Link?
When a customer clicks a generic link, Uniify automatically creates a new case for them. This means you don't need to know their name or email address in advance.
How to Create the Link
Go to Cases → Create Case.
Select the relevant Case Type and the Flow the customer should complete.
Important: Fill in the necessary fields but leave the email field empty. If you enter an email, Uniify will send a personal invitation, and you won't be able to make the link generic.
Click Create Case.
Find the newly created case in your overview and open it.
Click the three dots (⋮) next to the flow and select Copy flow link.
Make the Link Generic (Remove the ID)
The link you copied is unique to that specific case. To make it generic (so anyone can use it to start their own case), you must remove the unique ID at the end of the URL.
Everything after ?cc= should be deleted.
Example:
https://app.uniify.io/consent/2bmwjhgp8w/nqz22qhj6i?cc=test0001234
Generic version of the link:
https://app.uniify.io/consent/2bmwjhgp8w/nqz22qhj6i?cc=
Important about Generic Links
New Case Every Time: A new case is created in your dashboard every time the link is clicked.
Complete in One Session: Since the link is generic, customers cannot save their progress. If they close the browser, they must start over via the link.
Name Appears Later: The case will appear without a name in your overview until the customer confirms their identity (e.g., via MitID).
